수업 소개
Have your child grab their favorite stuffed animal for this ongoing class as their exercise buddy! This energy burning 45-minute class will start with a warm-up where the learners will be guided through an imaginative storyline to move their bodies and exercise buddy. Each week we will engage in a different activity to get our bodies moving. Please see the schedule listed below. During this part of the class, we will spend some time working on some gross motor skills such as jumping, balancing, tossing and catching as well as locomotor movements (skip/gallop/tiptoe). Next up will be a dance party with their buddy. The class will end with a cool-down stretch and breathing exercises. Stretches include side, leg, arm, and neck stretches. Emphasis will be placed on the safety of each exercise. I will be moving with the children through each exercise to give them a visual. Due to the physical nature of this class, there will be little verbal communication between the students and teacher during the movement part of the class. Instead, I will be checking for understanding through visual checks of the student's participation. During the last 5-8 minutes of class, learners will have an opportunity to participate in a short Show and Tell. Here is our upcoming schedule: • 10/2-10/8 Fitness Bingo shared through GoogleSlides: Learners will each have a turn to find the bingo square that coordinates with the bingo ball selected and announce to the class the exercise listed. • 10/9-10/15Playground Ball: Learners will use their own 4-12 inch playground bouncy ball to follow along as we attempt different silly challenges to work on balancing, bouncing and holding with different body parts. Please help your child select an appropriate playground ball before class. •10/16-10/22 Color Tag: Learners will race around their space to quickly tag a color with their stuffy’s paw/hand/claw and we will celebrate each color with a fitness challenge. •10/23-10/29 This or That: Learners will be encouraged to practice quick decision making skills by selecting one of two pictures as their preferred activity. Once selected, that choice will correspond with a 20 second fitness activity. •10/30-11/5 Escape Room shared through GoogleSlide: Learners will each have a turn to practice map skills by choosing which direction on the map to travel. "Getting lost" means everyone performs the exercise listed to get back on track. Check back for more scheduling. This class runs all year round.

This class involves physical activity and carries a potential of injury. By enrolling in this class, parents/guardians agree to accept any and all risks of injury that may arise from participation in this class.
When registering for this class, parents/guardians are stating that their child is physically healthy to participate in class. If a child should need any modifications, please message me, the teacher, 24 hours prior to the start of class so that I may have time to prepare an inclusion lesson.
