WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT?
Evening yoga practice is taught as a tool to help students end their days with clarity and grounded in gratitude.

WHAT TOPICS WILL YOU COVER?

*Gratitude for self and others
*Self-Reflection
*Meditation techniques such as; Breathing meditations, guided meditations, visual meditations, focus meditations, progressive relaxation, body scanning, and movement meditations.
*Restorative Yoga techniques

HOW IS YOUR CLASS STRUCTURED?
*Grounding, Breath, and Guided Meditation (10-15 minutes)
*Asana (poses) Practice (45-50 minutes)

HOW WILL YOU TEACH?
The beginning of class will include a non-personal information check-in question. We will then have a silent moment for our self check-in/reflection of our day. Students will then be introduced to a grounding, breathing, and/or meditation technique that will compliment our evening Asana (pose) practice to follow. Students sharing their insights of how they experienced the tools taught in class is optional and not required.

WHAT'S YOUR TEACHING STYLE?
My classes are taught in a manner that creates a safe space for students to try new wellness tools to become present with themselves and execute the physical practice of yoga. Practicing and learning what meditation techniques resonates to an individual can be deeply personal. I welcome my students with respect to their internal journey. The asana (poses) will always be taught in a manner that all levels will feel comfortable to grow and challenge themselves at a pace that suites their individual needs and any physical limitations. Modifications are offered throughout class. The restorative yoga approach is to assist students to end their day in a relaxed state.

HOW MUCH WILL LEARNERS GET TO INTERACT WITH YOU AND EACH OTHER?
Students will be presented with the opportunity to share their insights from their experiences from trying the meditation tools and breathing tools. The class as a whole is an opportunity to become emotionally, physically, and mentally stronger as an individual and as a class community. 

ANY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE LEARNERS NEED?
No prior knowledge or experience. Just an open mind and willingness to try new wellness practices.

Students will learn ways to observe their thoughts with compassion and non-judgement, practice gratitude for self and others, and expressing gratitude along with Restorative yoga practice to create their own personal go-to toolbox for days that feel overwhelming. I encourage parents and students to check out the Gratitude & Meditation class taught prior to this one for a well rounded experience with a variety of  wellness tools offered.

Hi Parents! This class is a great opportunity to create conversation and build trust with your child. I strongly encourage you to check-in with your student and see how their daily wellness tools are helping them or to share their experiences. I also invite you to encourage them to teach you some of the tools they learn in class. This empowers your students confidence of using their voice and strengthens your trust in your relationship. Don't be discouraged if they don't want to the first couple of times you ask! You showing interest is also a expressing to your student that you care for and admire the inner work they are doing for themselves.
수업 자료
Yoga mat, yoga blocks, blanket, bolster and/or pillow. Please wear clothing that you are comfortable moving in. Leggings, sweats, bike shorts, t-shirts and tank tops acceptable. No booty shorts or sports bras. Hair up and out of face please! :)

Beyond my training I am passionate about giving students of any age a fun-inclusive learning experience that stems for my passion of movement and wellness practices. Everyone has a voice in my class, everyone is will be listened to in my class, and everyone will support each other in my class. I have a saying, "We're all on the same boat, someone falls off we're all swimming. Let's keep each other on board!" :)
