던전앤드드래곤 배틀아레나 - 시간의 토너먼트

Welcome to the Tournament of Time! In this ongoing series of custom made one-shot encounters, we'll continue to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons. In this new format, created just for Outschool, learners can choose to bring their own character each week - or choose from a list of pre-made characters instead. You can use the same character as often as you'd like, or try a new one each session. Do you want to focus on building the perfect elven ranger, or try to experiment with something new?  Randomized challenges, environments, hazards, and items, ensure that each session is exciting, educational, and unique.


Weekly Format:

Each session can be played completely stand-alone. That means you can jump in and out as needed without missing any vital parts of an ongoing story - as you would in a traditional linear campaign. Each self-contained session goes a bit like this:

1. First we briefly introduce our characters. You can bring a new character each meeting to try out the classes and abilities that you've chosen, or you can return each week with the same one.

2. I roll the dice to decide the environment, hazards, and rewards, from a pool of semi-randomized options.

3. Then, we play! Each encounter is combat focused, but will always allow opportunity for exploration, teamwork, critical thinking, and creative problem solving.

4. At the end of each session we'll review our team's successes and failures and discuss ways we can improve our strategies for the next challenge!


Important Notes:

I strongly recommend basic familiarity with the 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons ruleset. For absolute beginners, I recommend first taking my one-time introductory course on Outschool titled:  "Dungeons and Dragons Crash Course for Absolute Beginners", followed by my introductory adventure: "Dungeons and Dragons Beginners Adventure: The Red Raven". You can find all of my available classes on my teacher profile page. If you've taken any of my adventure courses, then you're ready for this one too!

To make room for a wide range of schedules, this class does not meet every single week. Instead, we'll follow a general pattern of two weeks on, one week off. There will be slight variations based on holidays and so on, but I'll always ensure that the updated schedule is visible at least four weeks in advance. Outschool will only charge you for the weeks that we meet and play.
	
Full character creation will not be covered in this class. Instead, I will provide a selection of premade characters to choose from each session - or bring your own! Use of DNDBeyond.com digital character sheets is required.
