I teach separate, Basics Procreate courses for  Live classes on Outschool. This course is designed as a crash course for students that don't have schedules that sync up well with my Live class OR for students that like to work at their own pace and don't find a live class essential to their learning style. I get that! I see you! At a little over 2 hours - this course is packed with a little more in-depth explanations than my Live Intro class because their are no time restrictions, technical issues or distractions and I wanted to ensure we covered the MOST used and important features of Procreate for a beginner. With this class students should be fully prepared to hit the ground running with their knowledge of the app. 

The Live versions of this course has been received quite well by learners & I think I was able to take that information and put it in a little package for students who have different schedule restrictions or learning needs.

Description:
This course is all about learning the tips, tricks & tools that Procreate has to offer. Over the course of about 2 hours we will cover the most important and fundamental features that Procreate has to offer. We aren't wasting any time with super advanced settings that you might use once a year or the simplest things that you'll figure out along the way. This course is trimmed down to the most useful information without any nonsense.

4 lessons - between 20 and 45 minutes long go through the basics of this incredible App. I discuss the purpose & function of the tools while demonstrating the ways to use them & making ridiculous jokes. The first  Lesson goes over basic Gallery functions and Canvas setup followed by lessons exploring Basic Tools, Layers, Colors & Palletes and finally ending on the technical functions of adding Text and using Drawing Guides.

This is a lecture style course presented with PRE-RECORDED videos but students & parents can reach out with any issues, questions or feedback at ANY time.

- Introductions: We will be asked to Introduce yourself & talk a little about what sort of things you are interested in & what you, typically, like to draw or paint. Also - what are you hoping to learn from this Course?

- Discussion, Support & Feedback: We will be able to speak  through Messaging, Discussion Board -or- through short recordings in order to effectively communicate!

- Lesson Quizzes:  We will create a very short screen recording to demonstrate our Mastery over some of the lesson content - this can also be used to ask questions or show any possible difficulties using the knowledge presented during the lesson.

- Lesson Surveys: We will be asked which tool, trick or tip they found the most useful from the lesson & why.

- Course Survey: At the end of the Course we will be asked what we did & did NOT enjoy  about the Course. Also - what final thoughts or feedback about this Course would you like to share? I am always trying to improve my courses & teaching so this information will be taken very seriously!  

Requirements:
No previous experience is required - we will handle that!
You will need an iPad & the Procreate App - anything else is optional & addressed in the Lesson 0 - Introduction video.

The entire course (Lesson 0-5) will be available on the first day of class and students will have 4 weeks to view the videos and participate in the optional class discussions or submissions.
