Please note that this is a FLEX class, which means that classes are recorded and students are able to complete assignments on their own time (i.e., there are no live class meetings). In this FLEX class we will sketch and draw the human figure and learn at least one drawing technique each week as it relates to the subject. Student will create four drawings of the human figure. Student will create four drawings that may include the following drawing techniques: shading, sketching, line variety, hatching or cross-hatching. Student will demonstrate knowledge of proportion, gesture or expression through drawing.
I am a certified K-12 art educator as well as a professional artist and illustrator.

Feedback will be specific to learner's ability and level, and will center around art vocabulary and concepts (shape, proportion, value, gesture, shading). The Google slide presentation will be presented by the instructor onscreen within the recorded video. All content within the Google slide presentation is created by the instructor and may include: drawings, digital drawings or slides demonstrating art vocabulary and/or skills and techniques, as well as stock photo images of people (i.e., athletes, dancers). Supplemental materials such as quizzes and slide presentations of art historical examples will be provided through Nearpod.
