Class will begin with reading a book and a discussion about food chains and the sea animals mentioned in the book. We will then begin the focus of the lesson, drawing a shark, eel, squid, crab, and snail using a fun and simple method that utilizes basic shapes, and finish the class with adding color. Throughout the class, each student will be asked to share about themselves and their drawing to ensure that they get plenty of interaction during the class. Although drawing the animals will be...
Students will improve their development of fine motor skills and drawing/coloring skills. Students will learn about what a food chain is in relation to the sea animals that are drawn.
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that the basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
