○ In this lesson, we will go through steps of drawing an ice cream cone together, and then talk about ways we can make our drawings look more realistic and three-dimensional just by adding shading.
○ Students will learn the skill of cross-hatching, overlaying tiny lines to create a variation in dark to light.
○ Students will have the chance to make their own creative decisions along the way (toppings, number of scoops, etc.), and to ask questions throughout.
○ At the end, they will be able to share their drawings with each other and think about how else they can apply these new skills.
