In this one-time course, students will learn basic still life drawing skills for various food items, as well as how to draw cats. Class time will include physical references using Nyan Nyanko Market fruit, vegetable and dessert cats and students will learn how to draw different food items from scratch. There will also be time for more advanced students to learn some additional coloring and scene building techniques. Many students will learn how to shape and size multiple objects into the same drawing for proper proportions. 

We'll talk about favorite foods we like to eat and students are also welcome to bring their own ideas, stuffed animals/toys etc to get creative! There will be step-by-step instruction for this time, but it will also function in an "open" format meaning students can either follow the instructions or work more independently. 

All of my classes are highly interactive however students are not required to share if they don't wish to do so. At the end of each class there is usually a special surprise, such as a magic trick, mystery unboxing, etc.

- ONE STUDENT PER SPOT. If enrolling multiple students, please register each of them. Multiple students appearing under the same spot will result in students being removed from the classroom.

- All my Outschool classes have a limited refund policy. Transfers, no-shows, late arrivals, cancellations, refunds and make-up requests CANNOT be accommodated within 24 hours of class time. No exceptions. Class recordings are available upon request for missed sections if the class proceeds with other students. 

- Teachers on Outschool are independent contractors who cannot control nor troubleshoot technical issues with Zoom or the Outschool platform. Please test your connection with your device in advance of class time and contact Outschool directly at support@outschool.com for help with technical issues. 

- Live sections with no present learners are cancelled after 10 minutes of class time. 

- I do not offer sibling discounts for public classes at this time, however, I do offer a small discount for private classes when registering 2 or more students for a month or more. Please message me for more details. 

- These are WYSIWIG art classes: What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get! All thumbnails, promotional materials, class resources, and in-class drawings are original art produced by Marie (the teacher). Students are often offered a variety of reference images and resources from popular art styles to choose so they can draw in their preferred style, but special focus is paid to developing student's original art skills and not simply copying another artist. All images, drawings or other art resources are never taken from other artists to use as promotional materials.
