By popular demand, this class for fans of the "How to Train your Dragon" movies and series explores the 7 dragon classes and the dragons in each class. Each week will focus on one of the 7 classes. Learners will discuss qualities of the dragons in the class while creating a 3D dragon egg using a different medium and materials each session. An extensive list of craft materials will be required beyond just basic art supplies. Here are some of the more specific items we will be working with: Hollow Plastic eggs Air Dry Clay Slime making ingredients Smooth round rock Acrylic paints sequins, glitter, and other misc craft tid bits Scissors Hot glue and glue gun colorful washi tape or duct tape plastic drinking straws craft fur, feathers, and other fabric scraps Florescent paint or pigment powder Easily cleaned up area for making messy crafts Styrofoam ball or egg 1 inch glass pebbles OPTIONAL: oven bake clay in various colors A complete and detailed list will be provided in the classroom and reminders of materials needed will be sent each week. Learners who do not have the suggested materials will be able to draw, paint, or create an alternate 2d project using paper scraps, coloring or painting medium, elmers glue, and construction paper or tissue paper.
