주당 1-2시간. Homework assignments in this class are all about completing the characters started in class. Using your preferred digital art software (such as Procreate) or traditional mediums like paint, paper, and pencil, you'll finish your detailed and imaginative character illustrations. Whether you're designing humans, plants, animals, or mythical creatures, the goal is to explore different aspects of character design and hone your skills- this can only happen with lots of practice and the completion of assignments! Your completed drawings should reflect the attributes and details brainstormed for each character, showcasing your unique artistic style and vision. Feel free to experiment with different techniques, styles, and expressions to truly make your characters come alive! Once your drawings are finished, you'll have the opportunity to share them with the class during our next session for feedback and discussion. Remember, homework is not just about completing a task—it's about expressing yourself, growing as an artist, and having fun along the way! If your student needs to learn Procreate - please see my Procreate 101 class *** Join us for an exciting journey into the world of digital art character design! In this dynamic online class tailored for ages 10-14, you'll unleash your creativity and learn how to bring unique characters to life. Led by experienced digital artist/illustrator- Lisa Albinus, this course will explore the fascinating realm of character design using Procreate. While Procreate will be the primary tool, students are welcome to use any digital art software they're comfortable with or even traditional mediums like paint, paper, and pencil. Get ready to dive deep into the creative process! Lisa will share her personal approach to character design, emphasizing the brainstorming of attributes such as personality, quirks, appearance, and oddities before the design process begins. Each week, students will receive prompts to inspire their character creations. These prompts will be shared every Sunday, allowing students ample time to brainstorm before class, ensuring maximum productivity during our time together. Unlike traditional directed drawing exercises, this class encourages students to design characters freely, exploring their own creative instincts and style. Lisa will be on hand to provide guidance, expertise, and assistance with technique questions and software problems, empowering students to develop their skills, their own personal styles, and empower their creativity. It is an exciting hurdle when one can create what one imagines! Procreate( or Procreate Pocket) is a drawing app that I w ill be using for these classes. In terms of adhering to COPPA guidelines, Procreate and Pocket Procreate does not collect, use, or disclose personal information from children.
Procreate DOES NOT require and personal information as defined below:
It does NOT require:
First and last name;
A home or other physical address including street name and name of a city or town;
Online contact information;
A screen or user name that functions as online contact information;
A telephone number;
A Social Security number;
A persistent identifier that can be used to recognize a user over time and across different websites or online services;
A photograph, video, or audio file, where such file contains a child’s image or voice;
Geolocation information sufficient to identify street name and name of a city or town; or
Information concerning the child or the parents of that child that the operator collects online from the child and combines with an identifier described above.
This is an app that is purchased through the App store as a one time purchase with no additional communication or logging in to access. One purchased- no further contact is necessary nor account to access. .

I love teaching art to creative young minds and have taught in my community for over 15 years! I have taught homeschool art classes from ages 5-18 and I have also had the privilege of teaching art at local preschools AND I have taught art at nursing homes and retirement communities. This has given me to chance to teach from ages 2-92! I love exploring creativity through the lens of "You can do it - and I can teach you how!" No matter a student's current ability, with proven visual aids and assistance, I can help my students reach their personal goals. If they have the passion to learn, they WILL improve their skills!
As a means to help my students, I am continually improving my own skills, I stay current by continually practicing my own art and learning new techniques, while working with my agent in licensing my artwork. I stay current in my field so that I can keep my students current on trends and methodology.
It is my joy to learn and to teach!
Please note:
*My classes cover a lot of material and are jam-packed full of information that deal with the nuts and bolts of the apps that I teach.
*My classes are fast-paced and full of information and practical applications.
*For most classes, uploads are required before class begins. Please check the classroom beforehand to ensure that all the files are loaded and ready to go in the Procreate gallery. We need every second of class time for instruction.
*I strongly encourage students to take my classes in order. There are many things to be learned in each class and each lesson builds on material presented in the previous classes.
*While I am teaching, I can not answer emails and try to honor my families time by keeping office hours of M-Fr 9-5 for communications.
One last note: It is better for your student to take my classes on two devices ---one to draw on and one to watch the Zoom class! If this is not an option, remember that the recordings will be available after class!! My classes are jam packed with information and tend to move quickly!
