This is a 2-day beginning level Hip Hop dance camp. No previous experience needed. Students will learn a Hip Hop dance combination from a current song from the Billboards top 20. I will provide, clean, appropriate music good for all ages. Students will become accustomed with basic Hip Hop vocabulary, such as 'The Top-Rock,' learn technical skills, as well as learn about the history of Hip Hop and it's origination. By the end of camp students will have learned a dance routine that will help...
Students will learn fundamental Hip Hop movements important for building focus, concentration, and kinesthetic awareness as well as understand basic Hip Hop vocabulary and Hip Hop history.
As a current High School Dance Teacher with previous teaching experience in both the Middle School and Studio setting, I find it valuable to share my experiences and love of dance with other students. I not onl find it personally rewarding to share my passion of dance with students but also love to expand a students' creativity and knowledge on the subject. Dance is benefical to develop a students' posture, endurance, flexibility, creativity, coordination, memory, improve a healthy lifestyle, and much! Learn how to improve these skills from home!
Students are asked to provide a bottle of water but please no gum or food during class. Be sure to choose an open space that is free of hazards. Please also be sure to wear appropriate clothing attire such as a t-shirt, leggings, or shorts, and proper footwear such as sneakers.
