This class is for beginner crochet students who would like to practice reading a pattern and completing a project. We will focus on learning the half double crochet stitch, changing colors, reading a pattern, creating straight sides, and creating tassels. Materials: -Yarn, size 5 or 6 (2 or more colors-student’s choice) Scarf length is your preference but I would suggest starting with 300 to 350 yards of yarn total (more information on yardage available in the yarn buying video available when you sign up) -A crochet hook that is two and half sizes larger than what is recommended on your yarn label (please watch the yarn video available when you sign up) -Stitch markers -Scissors -Embroidery needle (also called a darning needle) **I will provide a link to a practice video each week so that my students feel confident crocheting at home on their own.
