In this 3-day class I will teach the learner how to crochet diagonally using the box stitch. This class is designed for students who have learned the fundamentals of crochet, but want to learn a new way to use those skills. Learners should already know how to chain and double crochet, but I will review those skills as well as turning your work, slip stitch, and how to put these skills together to form the corner to corner pattern. Each class I will teach step-by-step and go slowly to make sure all students understand before moving on. I will include a written pattern for the learners to follow along with, and to keep for reference in the future. 
Day 1
We will start with a slip knot and learning the pattern of stiches that make up the box stitch. We will learn how to build our rows diagonally, how to turn and increase each row. If we do not complete the increasing rows in class, I will ensure students know how to continue the pattern on their own to finish off the increasing rows before the next class.
Week 2
I will start by checking in on student progress, and answering questions they may have. We will learn how to start decreasing each row to complete the second half of the washcloth.
Week 3
We will finish up the decrease rows and learn how to tie off the project and add finishing touches. We will also discuss other uses for the box stich pattern, and I will teach them how to adapt the pattern to make other projects.
