I will teach this course through discussion and PowerPoint. Together we will discuss a variety of insects and arachnids such as tarantulas, cicadas, ants and scorpions. We will look at many cool pictures together! Students will learn where these insects and arachnids live, what their homes look like, and what they eat. They will learn the difference between an arachnid and an insect. I will ask the students questions throughout the class that will prompt the students to come up with creative answers. At the end of class, each student can share what their favorite insect is. I will also provide a word search coloring sheet for the students posted to the classroom.

Hi there!
My name is Marie and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. In my earlier college days I was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program, and I have direct experience working with children ages 2-22. Some of the subjects that I am passionate about learning and teaching are: astronomy, drawing, animals and earth science! My philosophy behind my teaching is that each student learns differently, and I would like to provide an open-minded environment to help each child maximize their abilities. I enjoy allowing my students to have as much verbal participation as possible!
Some fun facts about me: I have an 11 year old daughter. I have had many types of pets including birds, cats, mice, hamsters, fish, hermit crabs and a tarantula! My 2 most favorite things are astronomy and Halloween. I also work as a special education paraprofessional.! I am excited to meet you and hope to see you in some of my classes!리뷰
