Is your young writer starting to develop their fictional worlds, such as a fantastical imagining of a world with dragons and ancient lore, a post-apocalyptic dystopia where governmental mandates and societal expectations limit freedoms and personal expression, or a more realistic world that looks much like our own? I am a middle and high school English teacher, and I have a master's degree in English and Creative Writing. I've been teaching creative writing in some compacity for nearly a decade. I am a writer myself with knowledge of what the publishing industry is looking for.
