When it comes to photography they often speak of having a good eye or that some just have that feeling of what a good photo is. 

I believe that this is both a natural talent and something we can practice. 
I have a few years of experience as a professional photographer and in this class, I will try to share what I have learned. 

Each 50 minutes session of this class will cover a different theme: portraits, macro, black and white and street photography. 

For each session, I will cover what we need to think about to be able to capture "that picture." This class is not about the technology of a camera but instead of what makes a picture good, intriguing and fascinating. 

For the portrait class, I will speak of picture composition and how to put the person in the center of attention. I will also talk about how important eyes are in a photo and the position of the body and head.

Macro photography is all about getting really close and capture tiny details. I will talk about how we by getting down on the ground or very close to our subject can turn a lawn or a flower into a fascinating piece of art. 

In the black and white class, I will speak of the importance of angles, shapes and the contrast between light and dark. I will also show how we by choosing black and white can either create more drama or calm a photo down. 

Street photography is very popular and an amazing way to train your eye at finding good photo opportunities. I will show different ways to make our surroundings into a canvas for us to explore with our camera. 

In between each class, the student gets the assignment to photograph according to the theme and send their photos to me for feedback and ideas on how to improve, they can also post their favorite in the classroom and/or screen share their favorite in class to receive feedback from their fellow students. 

The best way to do this class would be to use a camera but if the student only has a cellphone with camera they are welcome to participate too.
