We all know that modeling clay is a fun material for building and sculpting, but have you ever thought of different uses for it? In this fun, interactive, one-time class for ages 6-9, young artists will use a variety of materials from around the home, modeling clay, and stamp pads to make prints (see below for full material list). 1. Modeling clay (plasticine, oil-based, NOT Play-Doh), several small pieces. Be aware that clay may not be usable after the project. 2. Stamp pads with washable ink, more than one color if possible 3. Several objects from around the home with interesting textures. For example, sturdy leaves, pine cones, pieces of thick string, forks, screws, seashells, tools, pieces of lace - the possibilities are endless! Clay may stick to these objects. 4. Sturdy paper, any color that contrasts with ink colors, a couple of sheets per learner 5. Optional: pens, markers
