Projects
주당 1-2시간. There will never be homework assigned during classes with CHEF KenDad. Although experimentation using the skills learned in class will be encouraged, it will be up to the individual SMALL(ER) HUMANS to use his/her knowledge on their own time. HOWEVER, there will always be suggestions and tips for everyone to use in their daily lives, with the hope that those ideas will always come back better. However, there will always be very specific pre-class preparations to include chopping certain items, boiling certain items, etc

HOWEVER, there will always be suggestions and tips for everyone to use in their daily lives, with the hope that those ideas will always come back better. ON THE OTHER HAND, there will be specific directions for certain items to be prepared prior to class. This usually entails chopping certain items, rehydrating pasta, etc.
Assessment
At the end of every session, each SMALL HUMAN will receive a verbal assessment regarding interaction, creativity, sharing, understanding, effort, and, most importantly, appreciation.

Whether it be AUTISM, ADHD, PTSD, ANXIETY, DISLEXIA, INSECURITY....whatever! We can find a common ground of 1:1 classes, longer classes, or PRIVATE classes of similar need group(s). HOWEVER, I would prefer to make every class accessible and open to every single SMALL or SMALLER HUMAN.

Join me for an amazing journey of tasty creativity, and delicious learning, while we explore "comfort food," just like Gramma used to make, and other popular dishes that she probably wished that she had.
While having fun as we create, you will be encouraged to discuss your own cooking experiences with each other, as well as being allowed time to ask questions about what it is, exactly, that we will be doing, and why!

All preparation steps of all dishes will be explained, by CHEF KenDad, while asking that adult supervision always be nearby to assist SMALL(ER) HUMANS with steps that require the use of heat (stoves, ovens, air fryers, etc.) and/or knives (cutting, peeling, slicing). Additionally, for each recipe, a complete list of ingredients and utensils can be found at

Whenever a SMALL HUMAN falls behind, during the cooking process, I will not make it known to anyone else in the class. Instead, I will eliminate minor ingredients in order to keep them on track. For that reason, occasionally, you will have left over items that were not used. I hope you understand.

I really hope to see so many of you in class, because I thrive on the interaction, the teaching, the stories, the love, and the laughter that these courses will bring.

SMALL HUMANS of all ages will learn about BLURBLE-measuring, proper food handling, knife safety, storage, and clean up. We will learn to share ideas and techniques amongst each other, while accepting varying opinions, thoughts, and desires about cooking.

Although not specifically designed for any type of special need, every student is welcome, and will feel at home, here in my kitchen. In fact, a mother of a SPECIAL NEEDS SMALL HUMAN has volunteered to speak with anyone with any questions.

LARGE HUMAN supervision will be highly advised during all uses of sharp knives, heavy lifting, heat rendering devises, mechanical mixers, and the use of mixing bowls for liquids. REMEMBER: If you aren't making a mess, you probably aren't having any fun.

I have been cooking for more than 30 years. My talents have been developed commercially, as well as in my home.

Whether it was cooking alongside my grandmother when I was a SMALL HUMAN, or behind the scenes with a 5-Star Chef, I have gained experience in Fast Food, Fine Dining, Casual Dining, Greasy Spoons.... 

I have been a dish washer, bus boy, waiter, prep cook, Junior Chef, Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, and General Manager.

HOWEVER, my greatest assets are patience, empathy, understanding, and the will to teach what I know.

I also want to have.................FUN

I'm a pretty good tutor, as well.
