In this class social club for students on the autism spectrum, they will be introduced to each of Ron Clark’s essential rules with role play and examples, to aid in learning communication, conversation and social skills to help discover the success of every student. Topics / Discussion List Month of January Week of January 1 Topic 1 - Respond to an adult when spoken to. Week of January 7 Topic 2 - Make eye contact when spoken to. Week of January 14 Topic 3 - Congratulate classmates. Week of January 21 Topic 4 - Respect other students’ comments, opinions, and ideas. Week of January 28 If you win, do not brag, if you lose, do not show anger. Month of February Week of February 1 Topic 6 - If you are asked a question in conversation, ask a question in return. Week of February 4 Topic 7 - Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough and say excuse me. Week of February 11 Topic 8 - Do not show disrespect with gestures. Week of February 18 Topic 9 - Always say thank you when given something. Week of February 25 Topic 10 - When you receive something, do not insult the gift or the giver. Month of March Week of March 3 Topic 11 - Surprise others by performing random acts of kindness. Week of March 10 Topic 12 - When grading other students’ papers, give only the correct grade. Week of March 17 Topic 13 - Follow along when we read together in class. Week of March 24 Topic 14 - Answer all written questions with a complete sentence.
