Students will become more confident with the spelling rules and common spelling patterns taught each week. Their spelling knowledge, accuracy, and confidence will increase. 

Allison Woolley has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Davis. She has homeschooled her children from kindergarten through high school and has seen the benefit of teaching specific spelling rules to her own children, specifically the help it gives to struggling spellers and readers. Her experience also includes tutoring English Language Arts to 2nd – 6th graders and teaching other subjects & leading groups for children in pre-K through 10th grade.

A Word List will be provided after each class with multi-sensory activity ideas to do with the words in the Word List. This is optional work. If a learner feels confident with the weekly spelling pattern, then this work is not needed and can be filed away for later review. However, if the spelling pattern isn't sticking for your learner, this Word List and activity ideas will be very effective in helping your learner increase their confidence and accuracy with the spelling pattern.
