The Complete Second Quarter plus Literacy: 2nd and 3rd Grade course includes nine weeks of instruction and a final week of review and assessment. Students will receive rubric-based grades for each assignment as well as an average grade for the course. We will cover Math, English Language Arts, Life Science, US History, Art, Health, Project-Based Learning, and Literacy. This class follows the Common Core standards and 21st-century skills. Students will learn 4th and 5th-grade skills with a focus on literacy.
Over the past 10 years, I have taught ESOL, English Language Arts, Theatre, Study Skills, and Writing in a variety of settings, both in-person and online, from PreK to adults. I am a textbook/curriculum author, micro-school owner, Academic Success coach, and homeschool mom. I am certified to teach in Georgia, Virginia, and South Carolina. I am also certified by the National Virtual Teacher Association.
