The goal of this class is for beginner Spanish students to learn and practice practical vocabulary in real-life settings as they gain conversational skills.
I am a native speaker of Spanish and I have taught all levels of Spanish from beginner to advanced placement. Growing up in a Cuban household, studying in Spain, and teaching both kids and adults, have helped me learn strategies to engage my students and make learning a new language fun and exciting. I believe that as students learn to speak about themselves, they will extend their conversational and writing skills as they gradually progress from an elementary to an intermediate level of the language.
Handouts will be provided for each class. Each student will need a notebook and a pen or pencil.
