던전앤드드래곤에서의 전투

Combat, or fictional fighting, is a big part of the Dungeons and Dragons game. Unfortunately, the game and the system has a few complicated rules that can be overwhelming for any new player to the game. I aim to teach the key terms and phrases related to the rules of the combat part of the game first before having students use either the characters they made in my other D&D class, Building Your Own Dungeons and Dragons Character, or provide them with a character to use in a practice combat scenario to walk them through the practical side to the game. The hope is to be able to break down the rules to a simpler level and have the students apply what they've learned right away in class in order to clarify anything in the moment. I believe this class in particular is beneficial to all students as it will help them be able to problem-solve themselves out of a situation, allow them to use information recently learned right away, as well as being able to make a split-second decision to help either save their characters or themselves, though the combat chosen for this class will not have anything that drastic in it. There is no need for any previous knowledge of Dungeons and Dragons or the game itself as the class will be taught for all levels of understanding and experiences. The only recommendation I have is to attend my Character making class to have a character ready and some basics of the game taught beforehand, but this is not required either as characters can be provided for the class and learning purposes as well.
