This class is perfect for any student that wants to learn tips and tricks for drawing fashion designs! Each week, we will focus on a new item or detail. We will learn industry terminology while we sketch and review tips and tricks that make drawing clothes easier and more fun! We will be sketching with paper and pencil primarily, but markers and colored pencils may be necessary for those that love to add color!  If your child enjoyed, "Fashion Design Sketching for Aspiring Designers," or "Intro to Fashion Design: Design Development" they will enjoy this follow-up course! No previous experience required.

Week 1: Necklines
Week 2: Dart + Seam Placement
Week 3: Sleeves
Week 4: Skirts/Dresses
Week 5: Jeans
Week 6: Pleats
Week 7: Cuffs + Collars
Week 8: Smocking

Each week, learners will upload their weekly sketches to the classroom before the start of the next lesson. I will be working alongside everyone, giving feedback, offering ideas, and helping along the way! Additionally, each week we will have a design detail scavenger hunt to further our understanding of design details. 

Additional resources and a design croquis template will be provided. See below for basic materials needed.

This course has NO LIVE MEETINGS. This allows learners to work at any time throughout the course, but please make sure to post each week's assignment within the given week. I will be actively engaging with learners in the "Classroom" tab and can always be reached there or through direct message!
