I want my students to learn: 1. The value of LOSING. When you lose a game, you were taught something, and get the opportunity to grow! 2. The love of playing chess; so valuable 3. Strategies to help them improve their game of course!
I started and ran a chess club in the elementary school I worked at last, and currently teach Beginner Chess Club here on Outschool. It is such a fun job to watch students develop a love for this game!
I will provide a link in the Zoom chat so we can interact in Google slides together. The chess boards are in Google slides. Logging in is not necessary.
