화학 그룹 튜터링 짐킷 리뷰 게임 - 화학양론!

One of the biggest reasons why students struggle is because they have not had enough repetitions of working through the content. What better way to review, get instant feedback, and be tutored than through playing a review game?

In this one-time live session, students will log on to Outschool and simultaneously log into Gimkit.com/live and will be given a game code to log in and start reviewing chemistry content. A warm-up Tycoon mode will be played first to get students quickly acquainted with the questions and then a special mode will be played. 

This session is meant to be affordable, cheap, and budget-friendly for traditional or homeschooled students who have already learned the chemistry content and either need tutoring or need extra review. Tutoring is costly and this mode of tutoring is intended to be fun as well as effective in giving some students an opportunity to ask questions and get the tutoring help they need. This session tackles the hardest topic in chemistry: stoichiometry! 

Gimkit is a fun review platform in which students answer questions that award them with energy or other in-game perks. Some Gimkit modes include:

-Fishtopia, a mode in which students answer questions to gain bait which they can use to fish and earn Gimkit dollars.

-Apocalypse, a mode in which students answer questions to gain energy and ammo to defend their base from aliens.

-Dig It, a mode like Minecraft in which students answer questions to gain energy and mine for blocks and other precious metals and gemstones that they can use to try to build the highest tower.

Bonuses:

*During the session, Mr. Shiroma will also be available through the Outschool Zoom platform for specific questions from the Gimkit or that the student has from their actual class. 

*Before the session, Mr. Shiroma will send out slides with the content that the Gimkit will be testing. 

*Mr. Shiroma will also provide a practice worksheet with answer key that students can work through prior to the session.

*A practice Gimkit link will also be provided to allow students to practice on their own using the basic Gimkit mode.



For extra help, students can also register for Mr. Shiroma's self-paced class which will include a one-on-one Q&A/tutoring session!
