Learners will gain an increased knowledge of two of the poems by Amanda Gorman, the poet laureate who was honored by reading her poetry the Biden Harris inauguration. She was also the first person ever to be given the honor of creating and reading a poem at the Super Bowl. As a group learning together, the learners and instructor in this class will read and discuss the content and style of these two poems and will also watch them on YouTube. A packet will be emailed to each learners outscore account upon registering for the class. It will contain all the supplies needed.
Two of Amanda Gorman’s poems will be used for the foundation to this class. The first poem is called “The Hill We Climb” and the second poem is called “Chorus of the Captains” and both will be provided through a study guide.
