As we know, the history surrounding the enslavement of black people in the United Started is grim. Though the origin of this holiday stems from that terrible event, that is not the focus of this class. The purpose of this class is to acknowledge that part of the past by celebrating the bright future that we have. I will not be doing into detail about the history of the enslavement of black people. For class, please make sure that learners have room to move around safely during the parade. You will also want them to have a designated apace that can get a little messy. Please make sure that whatever clothing they wear can get a little messy too. The vinegar and baking soda mixture will make a small chemical reaction that can bubble up as CO2 is created. Parents should be near by to help children with the project.
