In this class I will show students how to create a printable calendar for 2023 using the website Canva. Students will learn how to find and edit templates, search for stock photos and graphics, change fonts, and create an overall design that is unique to their own preferences and interests. This is a fun and creative class where I will guide them through the functions, but allow them to choose their own artistic design. There will be lots of freedom of choice when it comes to the pictures...
Although there are lots of stock photos and graphics to choose from, if the student wishes to use any of their own photos - their pets, family vacation photos, etc. - to create their calendar, please have the photos ready and available to upload to Canva. You can do this by saving them in an easily identifiable folder on the desktop. This will NOT share photos with myself or anyone in the classroom, although it is optional to upload their completed project to the Outschool classroom after class. Using personal photos is NOT a requirement, and there are a lot of great photos available through Canva!
