O'Canada! This 6 week course will be part 2 of exploring Canadian Social Studies, focusing on People and Environments, the Political and Physical Regions of Canada (based on the Ontario and Alberta Social Studies Curricula, grades 2 and 3). This course does not explore Canadian History, Heritage or Identity. Learners are not required to have taken part 1 of this course in order to take part 2. This course uses a combination of discussion, lecture, activities, short videos and research....
Learners will be able to examine the connections between our natural environment and employment industries, discuss ways to reduce negative impacts of land use and use social studies vocabulary to communicate their knowledge.
I am a Canadian Teacher, certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education with a teachable in Geography. I am certified to teach grades Kindergarten to Grade 10.
