Each week I will present an exciting theme and a story in the beginning of the class (space, Jurassic world, treasure hunt, rescue mission, military, superheroes, underwater rescue mission, etc.) and assign a challenge for students to get creative and build the ultimate robot, creature or machine that will solve a unique task or perform a specific function.

After presenting the challenge, students will have 20 minutes to build their creations and use their problem-solving skills. While students are building, I will be guiding them to contemplate various ways to approach the task by giving them ideas to consider in order to optimize their creations, think about functionality, overcome obstacles and sharpen their critical thinking.  

Everyone will have a chance to present their creation and explain how it solves the given challenge. Each week’s winner will be notified after class. The creations will be evaluated based on creativity and inventiveness and not by the type of bricks students use.

The overall aim of this club is to have fun while developing and encouraging creative thinking.

Please note that no specific building blocks or coding skills are needed/taught in class. Students can use any blocks they have at home.
