Students will:
-be able to plan for an essay
-develop an engaging hook to begin their essay
-create a conclusion for their essay that relates to their overall topic
-write 2-3 detailed body paragraphs (younger learners may only write 2 body paragraphs, older learners should strive for three)
-include text-based evidence for their topics
-provide and respond to feedback to other learners

Tegan Bombard, M.Ed., is a highly qualified educator with a strong background in literacy instruction. She holds a Master's degree specializing in literacy education, which equips her with advanced knowledge and strategies for promoting reading and writing skills in students. Additionally, she possesses another Master's degree specializing in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), demonstrating her expertise in supporting English language learners.

Throughout her career, Tegan has been recognized for her exceptional teaching abilities. She has received prestigious awards, including Teacher of the Year, Innovative Educator of the Month, and Innovative Teacher of the Year. These accolades highlight her commitment to innovative and effective teaching practices that inspire and engage students.

Currently, Tegan homeschools her two children, which allows her to intimately understand the needs and challenges of individual learners. With this firsthand experience, she brings a unique perspective to her teaching approach, prioritizing learner-centered instruction that empowers students to take ownership of their learning journey.

Tegan is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and encouraged to explore their interests and passions. 세부 내용: Assessment is conducted in an informal manner throughout each week's tasks and discussions. However a rubric can be used, and provided to families, at the culmination of our four-week class if a more formal grade report is necessary. Please be sure to request this upon enrollment.
