Brrrr! It's COLD here in the Arctic! This special seasonal course is designed to teach kids all about the Arctic during Winter! This class is super interactive and very hands on learning style. My teaching style is very high energy and inquisitive. I ask the students for a lot of participation. This class will NOT be a straight lecture from me. It is very much like a class taught in a classroom with a lot of dialogue between student and teacher. A gorgeous watercolor workbook will be sent prior to class starting! We will be working on the workbook throughout our course. Topics covered in this course: -Animals of the Arctic ( walrus, orca, narwhal, seal, polar bear + penguin where we’ll learn the penguin does NOT live in the Arctic despite popular belief!) -Color of animals in the Arctic & why + camouflage -Weather and climate -Location on our planet -Playdough activities during each class to demonstrate what we're learning about - 2 STEM based projects that are super fun! -Show & Tell Included with class: -20+ pages of digital workbook to be printed that will be used during and after class. The workbook isn't MANDATORY for class, so if you don't have access to a printer don't let that discourage you from joining class. Hope to see you soon!
