Through a combination of lecture, demonstration, hands-on activity, and the students' own work, training happens each class to introduce students to the craft of broadcast journalism. I have worked in broadcast television for more than 30 years as an award-winning documentary and reality producer. Some of my credits include: HGTV The Making of the Rose Parade, HGTV Rose Parade LIVE, CBS The Amazing Race, Discovery SEIZED, truTV DUI Cops, Discovery Verminators, Vanishing Cultures Documentary, HGTV various shows, Discovery Garden Police. I graduated from USC's School of Journalism and spent years at a local newsroom, mostly focusing on sports journalism.
