The learning goals for this course include:
- Developing a self-initiated and self-driven STEM research project 
- Learning strategies for conducting research and integrating research into the student's own work
- Creative problem-solving to effectively communicate science concepts through audio, video and graphics
- Practicing and developing presentational skills
- Learning how to incorporate feedback and revise projects to improve quality
- Following-through to completion of a project and presenting it to a public forum

The instructor for this course, Prof. Mark Baraket (M.S. Astrophysics Univ. of California-Berkeley) has mentored students to enter the Breakthrough Global Challenge for many years. In 2017, one of his students, Hillary Andales, won the grand prize! Prof. Baraket is a Certified Space Ambassador with the National Space Society, and a former researcher at NASA and the Canary Island Observatory in Spain. Today he shares his knowledge of the universe and all areas of physics with students domestically & internationally. 

Quantum Physics for Kids is dedicated to introducing young learners to the amazing world of quantum physics, invention & science research! We've been offering STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) classes and creating educational materials for students of all ages for over 15 years. We're excited to share this course content with more students through Outschool.
