Hello,
I'm a homeschooling mom and a life-learning facilitator with an HR and engineering background. I chose to homeschool my children and explore interest/freedom led education outside school. My daughters now 14 & 12 yrs, have learned from everything and everyone. We are a world-schooling family that splits time between India and the US. Car-schooling through travel is an enormous part of our learning agenda. 
I am originally from India and have been in the States since 2002. I'm currently living in California and love everything Indian history and arts. I believe that learning should be fun, interactive, and meaningful. I'm also an Indian classical dancer and a story-teller and have been a part of story-telling groups in India and the US. I love to travel, meet people and chat like there's no tomorrow while feeding them!
I have taught Sanskrit (Indian language) classes and Indian history /culture classes including cooking in homeschool co-ops in the US & India, California park-date groups, and summer camps through hands-on and interactive teaching. I really enjoy interacting with kids and talking to them about everything India.
My classes are meant to teach about and introduce India to children of the western world in a manner that they can understand and relate to. I encourage questions and varied perceptions and believe in " live and let live". I love kids and their boundless imaginations, energies and enthusiasm for life. I also believe that conversations around exploring all cultures in a non-judgemental and respectful manner are very necessary in today's world.
