수업 소개
This is an English Reading Book Club for students who are developing their love of reading, writing, thinking and sharing their ideas. This class is aimed at beginner readers to broaden their vocabulary, improve recognition of words, develop phonics and handwriting too. Learners will develop their reading fluency, comprehension skills including knowledge of phonics, vocabulary, guessing meaning of words from context, sharing ideas and developing communication skills. Which books will be covered? 🔹 Week Beginning 16/09/2024 - Tom Thumb and the Football Team 🔹 Week Beginning 23/09/2024 - Cornflake Corn 🔹 Week Beginning 30/09/2024 - Castle Poems 🔹 Week Beginning 07/10/2024 - Eric’s Talking Ears 🔹 Week Beginning 14/10/2024 - Beach Detectives 🔹 Week Beginning 21/10/2024 - The King of Football 🔹 Week Beginning 28/10/2024 - The Selkie Child 🔹 Week Beginning 04/11/2024 - Yummy Scrummy 🔹 Week Beginning 11/11/2024 - The Boss Dog of Blossom Street 🔹 Week Beginning 18/11/2024 - Clown School 🔹 Week Beginning 25/11/2024 - Jellyfish Shoes 🔹 Week Beginning 02/12/2024 - Jungle Shorts 🔹 Week Beginning 09/12/2024 - The Greatest Viking Ever 🔹 Week Beginning 16/12/2024 - The Chase 🔹 Week Beginning 23/12/2024 - Downhill Racers 🔹 Week Beginning 30/12/2024 - Save the World 🔹 Week Beginning 06/01/2025 - Swamp Crash Learners will be encouraged to move to Level 11 after completing these books. We will return to the beginning and repeat these books when we have completed all of them. Each week will include vocabulary, comprehension and input. Learners will be encouraged to share their ideas in a variety of ways in class. Please note, this is an English language class. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own teaching materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.

Learners will need a notebook, pencil and crayons for each class. All materials will be provided for this course.
