"If Harry Potter goes back to Hogwarts, he will be in mortal danger..." It's Harry Potter's second year at Hogwarts, a magical school that has become home to him. But is it safe for him to return? What terrible plot has been made against him? Join Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they navigate their second year at Hogwarts while fighting against mysterious happenings, terrible rumors, and dangerous disasters! In this class, learners will read three chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets per session and complete assignments related to the story. During class meetings, learners will share their completed assignments with each other, discuss each other's work, and discuss the chapters they read in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Learners will have fun engaging each other in lively discussion about the events of the book and the assignments they complete. My goal as a teacher is to be a guide. I will facilitate discussions and encourage students to both give voice to their thoughts and be kind to others as they voice their own. Each lesson will be highly interactive. Students should be prepared to participate in discussions during each meeting. No prior knowledge or experience is required for this class. Students only need to bring a love for reading and discussion!
