This class has a FLEX class schedule, meaning that this class will not meet for live sections. Instead it will "meet" through posts on the Outschool platform. Learners will be able to use their letter id/sounds to form and blend short CVC words. Learners will work on sounding out when reading and writing skills. They will practice listening and following directions.
I have master's degree in elementary education and was a full-time kindergarten teacher. I also have been teaching on Outschool for over a year now. This class is very similar to my "Letterland Blending" class. I am no longer able to teach that class on Outschool, but this class will be taught in the same format and learning goals achieved. Learning to sound out and blend consonant - vowel - consonant words is the start to any young learner's reading and writing. Mastering this skill will help provide a strong foundation to build future skills. I have taught this lesson many times live and online. I will make learning fun :)
