Students will need an acoustic or electric guitar (with an amp) that is comfortable for young hands to hold.  Students will need to have their first string tuned.  An adult may need to be present to tune the guitar, I will give easy quick instructions on how to tune the guitar.

Students will learn how to play simple traditional melodies as well as chords on the guitar.  Students will be taught basic music symbols.  This is a great introductory class to the guitar, students will be taught how to hold the guitar, begin utilizing  their ear while reading tablature like music.

I will demonstrate how to play the music plus give explanations on how to read tablature like music for the guitar.
Learners will play during the class and will be encouraged to ask questions of the teacher and the class.   Musicians will be asked if they would like to play their newly learned songs for the class.
