DESCRIPTION: Upon the completion of this course students will be able to define basic Latin vocabulary of approximately 300-400 words; reproduce paradigms of basic Latin forms; identify the grammatical forms and syntactical functions of Latin words of these nouns, adjectives, and verbs; and translate basic Latin sentences and explain their syntax; begin to compose short sentences in Latin. I love Latin and really anything that relates to the Greco-Roman world. I have an M.A. in Classics that emphasized pedagogy. I also have years of experience teaching Latin to a range of ages and skills levels online and in a traditional classroom. But, no matter who the student is I believe that learning should be a fun and engaging journey!

The required material for this course is the student edition of the textbook "Cambridge Latin Course Unit 2, 5th edition". It is about $29 New on Amazon. Used is OK. But, it needs to be the 5th edition.
