Throughout this course, students will meet once-a-week and learn beginners ASL signs. This is a beginners course, geared towards new ASL learners. Some of the signs we will learn include the ASL alphabet, numbers, how to introduce ourselves, basic conversation, common words and phrases, family and people, animals, food, school signs, weather, time words, calendar words, verbs and much more! Week 1Lesson 1ASL Alphabet, How to Introduce Yourself, Numbers 0-10In this lesson, students will learn the ASL alphabet, numbers 0-10 and how to greet someone and introduce ourselves in ASL.Week 2Lesson 2Family, Numbers 0-20In this lesson, students will learn how to sign people in a family, common people signs, pronouns and numbers 0-20.Week 3Lesson 3Common Words and Phrases Part 1, Numbers 0-30In this lesson, students will learn common words and phrases and numbers 0-30.Week 4Lesson 4Common Words and Phrases Part 2In this lesson, students will learn common words and phrases.Week 5Lesson 5Food SignsIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign different types of foods and drinks.Week 6Lesson 6Food Signs Part 2In this lesson, students will learn how to sign food related words and put the food vocabulary we have learned into conversation sentences.Week 7Lesson 7Colors & Question WordsIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign colors and question words. Students will also learn how to formulate questions in ASL.Week 8Lesson 8VerbsIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign common verbs.Week 9Lesson 9Calendar and Time WordsIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign calendar and time words.Week 10Lesson 10Weather and SeasonsIn this lesson, students will learn how to sign about the weather and seasons.Week 11Lesson 11School Signs Part 1In this lesson, students will learn how to sign basic school signs and subjects. Students will learn how to sign what classes and subjects they are learning and what their likes and dislikes are.Week 12Lesson 12School Signs Part 2In this lesson, students will learn additional school related signs and how to put the school vocabulary into conversation sentences.
