In weekly ongoing private lessons, students will learn the fundamentals of playing ukulele! We'll cover all of the necessary basics and work toward individualized goals designed to fit each learner's needs and interests. Each class will begin with warm-ups to prepare and reinforce healthy techniques. For the remainder for class, the learner will practice skills while learning to perform a variety of music repertoire. Required Materials: - Tuned soprano ukulele (Younger students will likely require parental assistance to tune their instrument. I will provide instructional materials and additional assistance as needed.) - Tuner (many phone/online applications are available for free or low cost) - Trimmed fingernails (long fingernails can interfere with ability to play ukulele) Optional: - Music stand NOTE: Other supplies and maintenance may need to be purchased as needed such as replacement strings.
