Welcome to Avian Wonders! Each week, we’ll dive into the world of a different bird species. Here’s what you can look forward to:

At the beginning of each class, we will learn cool facts about a bird species, including its Latin name and behaviors. Then, we’ll discover how to choose the best reference photo that will capture the bird’s unique features. I’ll guide you through breaking down the bird into simple shapes and adding amazing details to bring your drawing to life. Next, we’ll test and choose our colored pencil colors on a test sheet to create the perfect bird color palette. Finally, we'll apply various colored pencil techniques like layering, blending and feathering as well as vibrant colors and intricate details to complete our bird illustrations.
