This class meets ONE-TIME. In this class learners will learn how to introduce themselves in American Sign Language. This lesson will start with a warm welcome where everyone can introduce themselves and explain why they are interested in ASL. Learners will learn how to say the following phrases in a dialogue format: - Hello! The goal is to familiarize themselves with how to introduce themselves in dialogue form; learning the vocabulary straight from the dialogue then practicing sentences with the vocab. Then forming dialogue with the sentences. This not only encourages the student to use ASL right away, but reinforces the vocabulary, basic grammar and the confidence to communicate in a foreign language.
Graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, with a Bachelor's of Science in American Sign Language Interpretation. I've tutored in person from 2018-2019, and have taught in person and online from 2019-currently.

There are many reginal signs and signing styles. For example students my have learned an out of date sign and see me sign it a different way. Another example; there are different ways to sign "how are you?" Keep an open mind and encurage learners to use many resources if they decided to look up a sign or phrase out side of class.
