Welcome to Artistic Mastery: From Concept to Creation, an inspiring and dynamic art curriculum aligned with National Core Standards for Secondary Visual Arts (High School). Meeting once a week per semester, this course is designed to unlock the creativity within every student, reinforcing the idea that everyone has the potential to be an artist.
In Artistic Mastery, we dive deep into the Elements of Art, fostering self-expression and creativity in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you’re new to art or looking to refine your skills, this class provides the tools and guidance needed to explore and master fundamental artistic concepts. Each lesson is crafted to spark your imagination, featuring insights from famous artists throughout history and tips to help you develop originality in your work.
Throughout the course, you’ll engage in a wide range of projects that encourage you to apply and experiment with the Elements of Art. Dive into a vibrant world of art, where you’ll master the art of drawing people, animals, objects, and beyond. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to intermediate to advanced drawing techniques. These will consist of instructional and informational .pdf's, printable worksheets, and follow-along demonstrations by the teacher live classes.

📋 Class Structure: Classes are designed to be interdactive and engaging, with a structured format that supports learning and creativity: 
• Learner Check-In: Each session begins with a check-in where students can share their recent artwork and thoughts on the upcoming class. 
• Focused Lessons: A lesson that introduces the weekly focus, ensuring students understand the key concepts and techniques before starting their projects. 
• Drawing Demonstrations: The teacher will lead a step-by-step drawing demonstration, guiding students through each stage of the process. 
• Show-and-Tell Sessions: Students are encouraged to participate in a show-and-tell session, sharing their experiences and expressing their wishes for future classes. Classroom Do's and Don'ts: 
• Please do arrive to class on time with necessary materials and supplies. 
• Please do check-in with video and audio to begin. Only registered students will be able to attend class. During the draw-along, while classes are generally muted to reduce background noise, students are encouraged to unmute themselves at any point to ask questions or share insights. In larger classes, students will be asked to raise their hands before speaking. 
*Camera on preferred for on-the-spot support and for safety
*Siblings and/or co-learners must each be enrolled to attend. All students must be enrolled separately per Outschool policy. *Unenrolled students at the time of class will be placed in the waiting room until the parent can enroll them.
*All classes will begin on time as long as the learner is in the classroom. If all students are absent at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and exit after 10 minutes.
