Join this class to read AI and STEM-themed stories and learn about emerging technologies in a fun, interactive, relaxed environment. 

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are part of our everyday lives in so many ways! Our children are growing up today surrounded by AI so it's best that they learn about it early. In this class, we will be reading a picture book series on Artificial Intelligence, published by ReadyAI with input from professors in AI and professionals working in the AI industry. 

Through fun stories and thought-provoking questions, learners will get their first inside look into how AI works. We will be introducing the Five Big Ideas in AI, deemed "what every student must know about AI." Over the span of the class, we will read the entire series which includes 5 books, one book on each Big Idea. 

With simple explanations about big concepts, even the littlest learners will come to understand the basics of AI and take a step towards knowing AI and using AI better. In the second book, for example, we will ask "Our zoo is getting a new animal! Can you guess what it is? Do you think an AI can identify an animal it's never seen before?" 

The Five Big Ideas are Perception, Representation and Reasoning, Machine Learning, Human-AI Interaction, and Societal Impact. By the end of the class, students will be able to describe the Five Big Ideas and be able to tell what AI can do, what AI can't do, and our relationship with AI as humans.
