Please bring any and every art supply you would like to use. In this class, each student is mentored on their own projects, and we do not work on the same project as a group. Every student will wish to use different materials. Please bring some you are familiar with and some you would like to try! 

Students may use objects such as scissors or other tools in class which require permission and supervision. The art projects are emergent, and it is impossible to know what ideas learners will try each time. Please make sure the only supplies your learners have access to during class and for class projects are ones you grant permission and supervision to use. 

Topics for discussion will not cover anything generally considered controversial. Sample questions are provided in the class description above. However, learners may express ideas and viewpoints on topics that differ widely and discussion may become intense. It is impossible to know ahead of time each learner's opinion on a given topic, but know that I use gentle guidance and redirection in the classroom. My classroom reflects the values of kindness, respect, and safety. We will review these values at the beginning of each class.
