We will learn:
- different drawing skills such as how to shade with marker, coloured pointillism, and how to draw on black and toned paper. 
- how to apply differnt acrylic painting and watercolour painting techniques.
- basic visual communications and practical design.

Every week I will expect learners to finish the class project if they were not able to finish it in class time. I expect that most learners will need additional time to finish their projects, especially in the classes that focus more on drawing, storytelling, and design.

Learners who take this as an ongoing class will develop as artists over time and learn a variety of drawing, painting and basic design skills. I will specifically teach drawing using markers, pencil, coloured pencils, and drawing pens. Painting using acrylic and and watercolour paintings. And design focusing on composition, hierarchy, and simplification. This class also encourages learners to use their imaginations. 

Art also teaches patience and persistence. Not every piece of art will turn out perfectly. Art is often a struggle, but challenging yourself is how you get better. If learners can learn to embrace a challenge an also learn that it's ok to struggle, they will improve as creatives and also learn a valuable life skill.
