During this course, students draw several different cartoon faces, hairstyles, and outfits. Rozine demonstrates hairstyles, outfits, and body positioning based on learner's requests. Suggestions include short or long hair, curly, straight, or wavy hair, conventional and unconventional hairstyles. For the first two weeks of Art Camp, the focus will be on character's head and shoulders, allowing dedicated drawing to hair, eyes, and facial expressions. During the final two weeks of Art Camp,...
Research shows there is a significant connection between arts and achievement. Drawing and coloring develops many talents, such as: • fine motor skills • spatial reasoning • objectivity • visualization • self-discipline • creative problem-solving
Since 2005, Rozine taught cartooning classes to elementary-aged, inner-city children in Chicago and Los Angeles. She is the illustrator, author, and publisher of several all-age coloring activity books. She creates a relaxing atmosphere, encouraging connection amongst others, as well as confident self-expression.
Students will need either a sketchpad, or 5-10 sheets of drawing or printer paper. Pencils and erasers are a must. Coloring utensils can be crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers. A Sharpie marker is optional. Students can frame their artwork by stapling or taping it to a larger sheet of colored construction paper (also optional).

Upon parent approval, students complete their piece by outlining everything with Sharpie markers. Instead of Sharpie, black marker, colored pencil, or crayon can be used. Many students simply color in their pencil drawings.
Inspired by Waldorf teaching methods, Rozine encourages independent thinking and creative problem solving in the classroom. Like the title of her first book, "Live Life For A Living," Rozine is living a dream making a living doing what she loves....
